Running Update
This term has been my hardest term thus far...and that's coming from the girl who did two bowel preps, was sedated twice and had multiple other doctor visits in one term awhile back!
It's been a combination of harder classes, like Anatomy, and busier work schedule. I feel like I leave Monday morning for school at 10 and don't really settle again till Friday afternoon when I get home from my last class. I am certainly appreciating my weekends more this term =)
I think last month was the least amount of running I have done since I started last May. This is due to both lack of time and motivation. Its harder to convince myself to go out in the cold rain and run after school when I only have a few hours before I need to be somewhere else. Thankfully the term is half way over and I feel like I am adjusting a bit to its demands time wise. Last night I actually made it to the gym for a class and I managed to go for a few runs last week and this week. We had some flooding that closed the road I take in to school for two weeks and that added an extra 40 minutes to my day so I am pleased that has cleared up. Miterms are over tomorrow and school should clam down for two or three weeks before finals prep starts up, so hopefully I will be able to continue getting running/gym time it for a bit.
The month is half way over and I haven't even signed up for a race yet. This whole one race a month for a year goal has been the thing that has kept me going and I don't want to miss one after I've accomplished so much.

Adventures With Frank
I would like to introduce all of you to my new friend, Frank.
Frank is a complicated fella.
Frank and I have been spending a lot of time together lately.
I have the lovely privilege of learning all about Frank.
My teacher even gave me SEVEN whole days to learn all about him. Wasn't that nice of her?
He even has a nice friendly grin. In case you were wondering, after looking at that 'nice little grin' for a few hours it quickly becomes a condescending smirk.
Not only does Frank have a name for every bone, but he has a name for every notch, hole, bump, groove or any other ridiculous mark that could be given a separate name. He even has different names for the front and back of the bone. Like I said, he's a complicated fella.
To say Frank is stressing me out would be a huge understatement. Frank is lucky he is expensive, otherwise I would have thrown him across the room more than once this weekend. I have two more days. Two more days...

At first glance Frank doesn't look that bad. Sure, there are a lot of bones, but when you think about it, most of them are represented twice. He even has a nice friendly grin. Risks
To laugh is to risk appearing foolish
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental
To reach out for another is to risk involvement
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self
To hope is to risk despair
To try is to risk failure
But risks must be taken
Because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing
The person who risks nothing
Does nothing, has nothing and becomes nothing
He may avoid suffering and sorrow
But he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love or live
Chained by his opinions, he is a slave
He has forfeited freedom
Only a person who risks is free
